Greenland will hold its town elections in March, and a number of positions are up for grabs. The filing period for municipal candidates opened on Jan. 25 and will remain open through Friday, Feb. 3.

Among the positions available are a seat on the Board of Selectmen, three seats on the Budget Committee, two seats on the Library Trustees, three seats on the Planning Board, one seat on the Trustees of the Trust Fund and two seats on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, as well as the positions of town treasurer, cemetery trustee, moderator, and supervisor of the checklist.

Those interested in becoming a candidate must file at the town clerk’s office at 575 Portsmouth Ave. Greenland’s town election will be held on Tuesday, March 13, at Greenland Central School. For more information, call 603-431-7111.
