Somersworth Council candidate denied seat

Somersworth City Council candidate Nancie Cameron won her election over Marcel Hebert, but lost the seat after discovering she had filed in the wrong ward.
Cameron ran in Ward 3 after being told to do so by the city clerk, but she actually lives in Ward 2, where Jennifer Soldati ran unopposed.
Cameron requested a revote during the City Council meeting on Nov. 14.
“It only takes a few easy steps to allow people to revote and if we don’t it will further disenfranchise our citizens and be another irremorable blemish on the city of Somersworth,” she said.
