Special town meeting in Exeter July 12

Exeter will hold a special town meeting on Tuesday, July 12, for a vote on whether to fund the replacement of two culverts over Norris Brook.

The town will vote on whether to appropriate $575,000 to replace the two “aged and defective” culverts, according to the warrant article. The Exeter Board of Selectmen has recommended approving the funds. A 3/5 majority will be required to approve the expenditure.

The meeting takes place at the Talbot Gymnasium in the Tuck Learning Center at 30 Linden St. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call the town clerk at 603-778-0591.
