NH secures $3 million for weatherization projects
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen recently announced the funds, part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Weatherization Assistance Program. Organizations will use the money to expand existing weatherization programs and launch new pilot projects with the goal of decreasing dependence of fossil fuels and cutting energy costs for families. The N.H. Office of Energy and Planning applied for the grant.
Additional funds will go to the Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack in Concord ($500,000), Southern New Hampshire Services in Manchester ($600,000), Southwestern Community Services in Keene ($500,000), Tri-County Community Action Program in Berlin ($400,000), and the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund in Concord ($600,000).
