Drummer Shawn Mitchell reports that the Gray Davies are looking to reconfigure. He and guitarist/vocalist Adam Wade are on the prowl for a new bassist after the departure of founding member Brian Charles. While they find the right fit, friend Brian Scanlon, who plays in Deck Eleven, Craving and Wicked Automatic, will be filling in. At the same time, the band, currently a three-piece, is looking to add a second guitarist. Through next month Wade and Mitchell will be making trips to the “wonderful” Thumbprint Studios in Epping to record a follow up to their five-song EP, released earlier this year. And there’s another Davies album in the mix, too—the band has a live recording from a July 8 show at the Brickhouse available on request via their Web site, www.thegraydavies.com. 

Unbunny has plans to shoot a music video. The video for the song, “Casserole,” which appears on their last LP “Snow Tires,” will be shot by Charles Spano of the Los Angeles-based video production team Common Deer. To date, Common Deer has produced videos for bands such as Addison, The Fictions, The Strange and others, and has created commercial work for McDonald’s, Diesel, Nike Gold, Vans and Ikea.

For those making early plans for next summer’s live entertainment, the Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center in Gilford in the Lakes Region is now selling season passes for their 2006 Summer Concert Series. According to Meadowbrook box office manager Bill Garland, passes this year are more affordable than they’ve been in the past. Lawn seating starts at $345 per person and reserved seats within the pavilion start at $995. Season passes went on sale Saturday, Oct. 22. Past performers at the Meadowbrook include Guster, Sheryl Crow, ZZ Top, the Boston Pops and Tim McGraw, among hundreds of others.
