Sun Worship VII at Buoy and new Thursday series at Adelle's

Sun Worship VII at Buoy: In this season of dark and cold, Buoy is offering something vibrant and warm at its gallery space in Kittery, Maine. The seventh installment of the “Sun Worship” music series will present five acts on Saturday, Dec. 18.
Presented by Kittery musician Josh Baker, the quarterly series marks the changing seasons with improvised experimental music, video and art. The upcoming show will celebrate the winter solstice with music from Peace, Loving of Jamaica Plains; 2Lous, a collaboration between Lou Bunk and Lou Cohen; Mystic Out-Bop Review, a Maine-based avant-jazz group; Loup-Garou, featuring Walter Wright of the 119 Gallery in Lowell, Mass.; and Baker’s own Offset Needle Radius.
Alongside the music, Greg Kowalski will manipulate video projections in real time. In addition, Kowalski and Baker will join Peter Donovan and Buoy co-owner Al Mead for an “installation/space alteration/inanimate collaboration.”
The event begins at 8 p.m. on Dec. 18 at Buoy, 2 Government St., Kittery, Maine, www.buoygallery.org. Donations are encouraged.
