Wolfboro Folk moves to the barn

The Wolfeboro Folk series, previously presented at a variety of restaurants and inns in the Wolfeboro area, has found a new home at Tumbledown Farms, a historic barn transformed into a performance venue and dining space.

The barn, which dates to 1780, is a permanent home that hearkens back to folk music’s roots. Renovations include a full kitchen, professional stage, heating system and balcony for premier seating. The dinner menu features items from nearby farms, including Tumbledown, Via Lactea, McKenzie’s and Spider Web Gardens. 

The series plays well with acoustic music fans. Most performances this fall this fall have sold out, including Cape Breton’s Barra MacNeils, Jonathan Edwards, and The Waybacks and High Range. The only remaining performance in 2006 is Christine Lavin on Saturday, Dec. 9.
