Locals to take the stage with Marilyn Manson

When notorious shock rocker Marilyn Manson performs at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in April, he’ll share the bill with a band featuring a couple of familiar faces. The Pretty Reckless will open for Manson on Saturday, April 28. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 24.

The Pretty Reckless consists of teen actress and singer Taylor Momsen, backed by members of the band Famous, which includes drummer Jamie Perkins and bassist Mark Damon, both veterans of the Seacoast music scene.

Perkins and Damon have already toured the nation and world repeatedly with Reckless, including a slot in the Warped Tour in 2010. The band released its first full-length studio album, “Light Me Up,” about a year ago.

They’re not the first locals to take the Ballroom’s stage in recent years. Last summer, local guitarist Tim Theriault and keyboardist Chris DeCato performed there as members of Godsmack front man Sully Erna’s band.

Manson, the industrial goth icon who had a string of hits in the 1990s, will be touring on behalf of his band’s latest album, “Born Villain,” due out this spring. The Pretty Reckless is supporting Manson at a number of shows in April and May.

Tickets to the show in Hampton are $37, available at www.casinoballroom.com or by calling 603-929-4100.
