Daddy's closed for good

After nearly four decades, Daddy’s Junky Music has closed all 12 of its locations, including the Portsmouth store on Woodbury Avenue. The regional chain, which offered musical instruments, equipment and lessons, was unable to recover from the economic crisis. A note posted on Daddy’s website reads, “Daddys Junky Music Stores has closed for business on October 26th, 2011. Thank you for a wonderful 39 years."
