Queensryche, The Monkees cancel Ballroom dates
Two renowned bands scheduled to play at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom this month have canceled their gigs.
Queensryche, the progressive metal band that rose to prominence in the 1980s, was scheduled to perform at the Ballroom on Aug. 5 but canceled at the last minute due to an illness with lead singer Geoff Tate. The show has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 29. Refunds are available to ticket holders who can’t attend the makeup date.
The Monkees, the pop rock group and television stars of the late 1960s, were scheduled to perform on Aug. 28 but canceled their entire tour due to “internal issues,” the Ballroom reported. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
