Paranoid Social Club releases 'Axis IV'
Paranoid Social Club has been one of Portland, Maine’s most prized bands since they broke through in 2002 with “Axis II,” featuring the irresistible punk/hip-hop party anthem “Wasted.” The group’s success continued in 2004 with “Axis III and I,” which included their biggest hit to date, “Two Girls.”
Now, PSC is back atop the Bull Moose sales charts with their latest release, “Axis IV,” featuring the new hit single “Count on Me.” They’ll play a CD release show with Waylon Speed at the Dover Brick House on Friday, June 10.
Formed by long-time collaborators Dave Gutter on guitar and vocals and Jon Roods on bass, PSC was born following the temporary disbandment of the more family-friendly rock group Rustic Overtones. Their current lineup also includes Planeside drummer Craig Sala and Stars Look Down front man Trent Gay.
The show begins at 9 p.m. on June 10 at the Dover Brick House, 2 Orchard St., Dover, 603-749-3838. Tickets are $10.
