Benefit show for homeless shelter in Dover
An upcoming concert at St. Thomas Episcopal Church will benefit My Friend’s Place, a homeless shelter in Dover. The show on Sunday, June 12, will feature the Seacoast Men of Harmony, the Fourth Street Jazz Choir, and the Mac Daddy Quartet.
The Seacoast Men of Harmony, established in Dover in 2005, sings in the tradition of barbershop harmonies. The Fourth Street Jazz Choir includes up to 15 voices performing jazz standards with piano accompaniment. The Mac Daddy Quartet is a barbershop group with members from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. on June 12 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5 Hale St., Dover, 603-742-3155. Donations will be accepted at the door, with a portion of proceeds going to My Friend’s Place. A dessert reception will follow in the parish hall.
