robotmonkeyarmreturns
It’s been almost a year since surf, punk, space-pop outfit robotmonkeyarm played a live show, but they’ll return to the stage for a gig alongside Manchester’s birdorgan on Saturday, May 28. Part of the monthly Goodnight, John Boy music series, the show takes place at The New Studio at the Salmon Falls Mills in Rollinsford.
In addition to both having names that combine several words and include anatomical features of animals, robotmonkeyarm and birdorgan both are based in New Hampshire and have a flair for sci-fi experimentation. Robotmonkeyarm, with members hailing from Portsmouth and Lowell, Mass., is just finishing up a new album. Birdorgan is an ambient, psychedelic band based in Manchester.
The two acts should fit nicely in the Goodnight, John Boy series, which maintains an emphasis on experimental and psychedelic music. The show begins at 8 p.m. on May 28 at The New Studio, located in studio 402 of the Upper Mill at Salmon Falls, 1 Front St., Rollinsford. Bring your own beer.
