CD release shows for Burst & Bloom and Red Car Records

Spring songs at Buoy: The latest installment of Burst & Bloom’s “Seasonal Disorder” series celebrates spring with original songs from a dozen regional artists, many of whom will perform at a CD release show at Buoy in Kittery, Maine, on Saturday, May 14.

Burst & Bloom, the local label helmed by musicians Guy Capecelatro III and Dylan Metrano, released the complication CD “Seasonal Disorder: Winter” in February, featuring 16 entrancing songs about winter. The new CD, “Seasonal Disorder: Spring,” will be available beginning May 13. 

The compilation includes new songs by The Milkman’s Union (featuring Lady Lamb the Beekeeper), Cake on Cake, Tin Ceilings, Michael Holt, Mara Flynn, Lindsay Clark, Lina Tullgren, The Points North, Black Window Music, Eric Ott, Blake J. Seale Jr., and the Fruitless Trees.

The release show begins at 9 p.m. on May 14 at Buoy, 2 Government St., Kittery, Maine. Donations will be collected at the door. The CD will be available at the show or at www.burstandbloomrecords.com.

Red Car in Portsmouth and Dover: Massachusetts-based label Red Car Records will celebrate the recent release of the fourth volume of its “Twisted Rico” series with an upcoming show in Portsmouth. Five area artists will perform songs from “Twisted Rico: The Scandalous Years” at Foobar on Saturday, May 14. 

A second local release show will take place at the Dover Brick House on Saturday, June 11.

The compilation CD features artists from around the Northeast, including several local musicians. The lineup includes Troy Gregory, Jade Sylvan, Hello Dragon, Geoff Useless, Caged Heat, VulGarrity, Jeddo Stars, Tijuana Sweethearts, Wide Iris, Project, Milquetoast & Co, Deep Six, Greg Allen, Joe Mazzari, Stone Soul Foundation, The Mysteos, The Charms, David Minehan, and Merrily.  

Among the performers in Portsmouth will be Useless, VulGarrity, Sylvan, Mazzari, and Jake Mehrmann of Tan Vampires.
