New recording facility in Rollinsford
Musicians on the Seacoast now have another option for recording their work in a professional setting. A new audio and video production company in Rollinsford will host its grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 26.
Called 1130 FT, the 2,200-square-foot facility is located in the basement of the Salmon Falls Mill building on Front Street. It was designed and built by company owner Christopher Chase, who used 65 percent recycled material and local timber felled by storms. Chase plans to offer affordable, professional services to artists of all experience levels. He will also donate $700 worth of pro bono work each month.
The open house on Feb. 26 will feature live jazz, as well as wine and cheese. Guests will have a chance to win up to $3,000 worth of studio time. The event takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. in unit B6 of the lower mill building at 3 Front St. in Rollinsford.
