Cabin Fever pays tribute to Canadian songwriters
As the Cabin Fever Concert Series enters its sixth year, hosts Susie Burke and David Surette are trying something new. They’ll pick a theme for each of their monthly shows at the Elysium Arts Folk Club in Rollinsford, beginning with a performance of songs by famed Canadian singer-songwriters on Saturday, Jan. 29.
Burke and Surette, a long-time local folk duo who sing and play guitar, will join some musical pals as they perform songs by beloved Canucks like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Stan Rogers and Ferron. Other installments of the series, with themes to be announced, will follow on Feb. 26 and March 26.
The upcoming show takes place from 8 to 10 p.m. on Jan. 29 at the Elysium Arts Folk Club, located in the Lower Mill at Salmon Falls, 3 Front St., Rollinsford, 603-743-4700. Tickets are $15 for adults or $5 for kids. For more information, visit www.elysiumarts.com.
