Homecoming for Klaxton

Klaxton received a full scholarship to return to school, and he’s enjoyed the competitive academic atmosphere. But he looks forward to returning to the Seacoast, if only for a short visit. A prolific player while living here, he was active in at least a dozen local bands, performing in a wide range of genres, from jazz to pop to hip-hop.

So far, Klaxton’s itinerary includes shows at The Wildcat’s Den at UNH in Durham with Tan Vampires on Thursday, Dec. 9; at Rudi’s in Portsmouth with his saxophonist brother Eric Klaxton and keyboardist Mike Effenberger on Saturday, Dec. 11; at the Lamprey River Tavern’s jazz brunch in Newmarket with guitarist Jim Dozet on Sunday, Dec. 12; and at Buoy in Kittery, Maine, with Aporkalypse Now on Sunday, Dec. 12.
