Jill Andrews takes the Hush Hush stage
Best known as front woman of the popular indie folk band The Everybodyfields, which she formed with Sam Quinn in Tennessee some six years ago, singer and guitarist Jill Andrews is now touring as a solo act. She’ll perform at The Red Door in Portsmouth in a special Sunday installment of the Hush Hush Sweet Harlot series on Oct. 24, along with local singer-songwriter Courtney Brocks.
Starting with their first CD in 2004, The Everybodyfields helped spark a youthful folk revival in East Tennessee.
A lifelong musician, Andrews released her self-titled debut solo EP about a year ago. It features the same type of alt-country, roots music fans of The Everybodyfields would expect.
Brocks, meanwhile, will perform in support of her new album “After, Before.” The show takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 24 at The Red Door, 107 State St., Portsmouth, 603-373-6827. Admission is $5.
