One Hand Free plays new songs in Newmarket
Portsmouth-based rock band One Hand Free will debut new tunes and play some classics at The Stone Church in Newmarket on Friday, Sept. 17. They’ll also release two live tracks recorded at The Church on iTunes that same day.
With Andrew Blowen on vocals and keys, Geoff Taylor on bass, Josh DiJoseph on guitar and Kelly Bower on drums, One Hand Free unapologetically cranks out a psychedelic, southern rock sound that channels the spirit of The Allman Brothers, Deep Purple and Iron Butterfly.
The upcoming show concludes the band’s “Harvest Tour” of pre-autumn shows around the region. In Newmarket, they’ll share the stage with Portland, Maine’s Wyatt King & The Sex Machines, a similarly minded crew that likes to party and rock.
The show begins at 9 p.m. on Sept. 17 at The Stone Church, 5 Granite St., Newmarket, 603-292-3546. The door charge is $5.
