Israeli flutist in Hampton
Israeli flutist Mattan Klein began his musical training at age 7 and has now toured around the world. He’ll perform new jazz quartet pieces at the First Congregational Church in Hampton on Saturday, Aug. 14.
Klein began touring internationally as a teenager and later studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he immersed himself in the city’s jazz scene. He’s performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Tel Aviv International Jazz Festival, as well as other concerts around the world.
In Hampton, bassist Gustavo Amarante will join Klein, as well as a number of advanced music students. He plans to perform several new pieces, including some world premieres and duo tunes with Amarante.
The show begins at 7 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the First Congregational Church, 127 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. For more information, call Trisha Craig at 603-929-2952.
