New disc on the way from Marty England
Seacoast musical mainstay Marty England has sent his debut solo CD off to the plant for production, and he’s gearing up for the album’s release.
England, best known as front man for Pondering Judd, will hold an all-ages CD release show for “Razed and Reconstructed” on Friday, Oct. 1, at the Hackmatack Playhouse in Berwick, Maine. He’s even changed his new band’s name for the occasion to Martin England & the Reconstructed.
But fans don’t have to wait until the fall to get a taste of the singer-songwriter’s new music. The first single from the album, “Do What the Man with the Gun Says,” can be downloaded at http://marty.lostsailorrecords.com.
England also has an upcoming gig with a totally separate musical venture, The Killing Troubadours, which also includes well-known Seacoast songwriters Eric Ott, Courtney Brocks, Jesse Dold and Cole Gove. That show takes place at The Barley Pub in Dover on Friday, Aug. 20 at 8 p.m.
