S&S Candies

Just when you think there's nothing new under the sun—well, it turns out you’re right. While stacking an Oreo on top of a peanut butter cup might be bold, and then stacking a chocolate chip cookie on top of another peanut butter cup might be even bolder, taking a third peanut butter cup and sprinkling it with M&Ms and packaging the whole thing as a candy bar is just an affront to the gods—and with such familiar parts, it’s hard to call it innovation, either.

How they were able to get these things to mate is a puzzle: it’s not really an Oreo, it’s a Famous Amos cookie, but the M&Ms are real M&Ms—although, on the package, it says that Mars has no affiliation with the producer. So, how’d they get there? Can we make our own M&M mash-up and sell it? The chocolate chip cookie, on the other hand, is of an entirely uncertain pedigree.
None of this would matter if it were good, but the peanut butter cups are sub-par and the cookies are dry and crumbly, like poorly-grafted cyborg implants being slowly rejected by their failing chocolate bodies. Points for the mad science, but we’d rather just have something good.
