Chez Boucher is now accepting applications for the Culinary Arts Training Program that begins on Jan. 8. The school says that the six-month accelerated certificate program is designed for entry-level, cooking professionals and features four months of hands-on culinary arts at the Chez Boucher French Cooking School, located at the corner of Route 1 and Breakfast Hill Road in Greenland. It also includes two months of practical externship training at the Galley Hatch Restaurant, bakery and catering facilities in Hampton.

In marketing, consistency is very important—so if you’re going to have a  black-cherry-French-vanilla-diet-cola called “Jazz,” then the label should accurately reflect the confusion and nausea that these words elicit. Pepsi’s “jazz” label does just that, depicting a torrent of brown effluent cascading into a foamy cesspool full of red cherries, all topped with a tacky purple ribbon swirling across the front and the double logo of “Diet Pepsi” and “Jazz” puzzlingly intermingled.

Jewell Towne Vineyards of South Hampton recently earned awards at prestigious regional and national competitions. The 11-year-old vineyard brought home eight medals from the Northeast Gold Wine Competition at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass., including the honor of being named “Best wine of New Hampshire” for their Cayuga White, which also took gold.
