‘The Slumber Party Massacre’

the plot: With her parents away and the house to herself, Trish (Michaels) decides to invite her friends over for an impromptu slumber party. However, Trish excludes Val (Stille), the new girl in school who’s better at basketball than the other girls. As the girls, and their horny boyfriends, gather at the house, Trish’s neighbor, Mr. Contant (Kennedy) checks in and offers to keep a watch out for any suspicious doings in the neighborhood. There’s plenty of reason to be scared—mass murderer Russ Thorn (Villella) has escaped from the local jail and is headed toward town.

It’s the day before the sheriff’s station in Shallow Grove is about to close. Things are going smoothly until a boy (Marquette), naked, covered in blood and clutching a hunting knife, emerges from the woods and enters the station. Sheriff Jack Sheppard (Murphy), still reeling from the mysterious death of his girlfriend, is called to check out the boy.

the plot:
Meet Shane Ballard, a 22-year-old living in Lowndes County, Miss., the “buckle” of the Bible Belt. This shot-on-video documentary follows Shane’s campaign for county sheriff, in which he runs on a pro-pornography, anti-police harassment platform. Shane’s campaign is a disorganized, half-assed mess, much like the candidate himself, and the few voters he manages to talk to don’t seem all that thrilled about the prominence he gives pornography.

the plot: It’s a bad Christmas for 8-year-old Billy Chapman. First, his mentally ill grandfather warns him about how Santa Claus will come and “punish” those who are naughty. To make matters worse, a crazed robber in a Santa Claus suit brutally murders Billy’s parents while they’re driving home on Christmas Eve. Billy and his brother Ricky are sent to an orphanage run by a strict mother superior (Chauvin), who drills into Billy the importance of punishment and atonement.

During his experiments, Jessup meets Emily (Brown), a Ph.D. anthropology student whom he quickly woos and marries.
