the plot: Winter in Antarctica, 1982. A team of American research scientists at a remote outpost have a strange encounter with a group of Norwegian scientists working at another station, located miles away. A dog runs into the American’s camp after being chased for miles by the Norwegians. But the dog is not all it seems—later that night, it morphs into a ferocious tentacled monster and attacks the men.

the plot: Following a motorcycle accident, Rose (Chambers) and Hart (Moore) are taken to the nearby Keloid Clinic, a state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery facility run by Dr. Dan Keloid (Ryshpan). Hart has suffered only minor injuries; however, Rose has extensive burns all over her body, and when Keloid uses an experimental skin graft technique on her, it sends her into a coma.

the plot: “Three … Extremes” is an anthology of three short films. The first segment, “Dumplings,” follows aging actress Li (Ka Fai) as she tries to regain her youthful looks. She enlists the help of Mei (Ling), a local woman known for the restorative powers of her specially made dumplings. Even after Li learns the horrifying truth about the dumplings’ ingredients, she can’t help but keep eating, no matter what the cost.
