Marco Benevento, Reed Mathis and Mike Dillon @ The Stone Church, March 7
The Stone Church is a true gem of the Seacoast music scene. Where else but the historic hilltop building overlooking downtown Newmarket can you stand in the same room as a trio of eclectic, nationally renowned musicians on a Wednesday night and feel like part of the show? The warm atmosphere, cold beer and loud music combine to form an ideal winter shelter, complete with an acoustic intimacy that unites band with audience.

set release, “Intersections 1985-2005,” and sprinkling in a few new
tunes, Hornsby took the audience on a fantastic and classy ride all
evening long, which included a free copy of “Intersections” to all who
purchased a ticket to the show.

Laurel Brauns, host of the Hush Hush Sweet Harlot series, casually made
her way onto the Red Door’s stage with dimmed houselights fluttering to
get the crowd’s attention. Framed by bouncing shadows cast by the
tea-light candles aboard every wooden sill in the cozy venue, Brauns
played a single tune and then dutifully MC’d the rest of the evening.
Mondays here have become a staple for many looking to catch some good
live music on a weeknight.
