Garrison Players is looking for directors for its 2007-08 season, to begin in September 2007. The production committee will consider all musicals, comedies and dramas, and directors will be asked to present proposals to the committee within the next few months. Written proposals should be sent to Garrison Players, attention Production Committee, at PO Box 127, Dover, NH, 03821. For more information, call Leah at 603-664-2756.

The Garrison Players 2006-2007 season opened in September with Alan Ayckbourn’s “How the Other Half Loves.” Currently onstage is “The Fantasticks,” written by Harvey Schmidt, with book and lyrics by Tom Jones. Next up in January is Michael Brady’s play, “To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday.” Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods” will be staged in March, and Athol Fugard’s drama, “Road to Mecca” will close out the season in May.

Garrison Players is a nonprofit, volunteer-based community theatre group dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the area by presenting high-quality theatrical performances geared for family audiences. Established in 1953, the players encourage people of all ages to enjoy and participate in the many facets of the performing arts and to help maintain the new Garrison Players Community Arts Center.
