The N.H. State Council on the Arts, MicroCredit-NH and the NH Business Committee on the Arts are co-sponsoring another series of business workshops for artists in the fall. The workshops were created to respond to the specific needs of artists as entrepreneurs.

The fourth annual ArtWorks-NH Day of Learning and Networking, featuring variety of sessions, from creating a portfolio to product pricing to copyrighting, takes place Saturday, Sept. 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at River Woods at Exeter, 7 RiverWoods Drive. A $35 registration fee includes morning refreshments and lunch. For more details or to register, visit www.microcreditnh.org/artworksnh or call 1-800-769-3482.

Legal Issues Facing Artists is a free workshop that will focus on how artists can protect their work, with presentations by attorneys William L. Chapman of Orr and Reno and Giuseppe Bellavita of Pierce Atwood to provide a greater understanding of copyright issues, contracts and the pros and cons of incorporation. This event takes place Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the State Arts Council Offices, 2½ Beacon Street, Concord. Register by calling 603-271-2789.

The final workshop, Taxes and Financial Management for Artists, will offer guides for record-keeping, tax deductions and financial planning, and more. It takes place Wednesday, Nov. 15, 3-5 p.m., at the State Arts Council Offices, 2½ Beacon St., Concord. There’s no fee, but space is limited. To register, call 603-271-2789.

Information on the upcoming winter workshop series will be posted at www.nh.gov/nharts.
