The N.H. Fish and Game Department is creating a registry of people to be considered for current and future conservation officer trainee vacancies. Applications must be submitted by Jan. 12.

Fish and Game’s Law Enforcement Division is responsible for the enforcement of all state laws, rules and regulations pertaining to fish and wildlife. Conservation officers prosecute all of their own cases involving offenders of wildlife law. They also are responsible for search and rescue operations and for enforcing off-highway recreational vehicle regulations.

The selection process includes a written examination, a physical agility test and an oral board exam. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by Jan. 30. A full job description and qualifications are online at www.wildlife.state.nh.us.

The department accepts applications about every six months. Previous applicants must re-apply to be included on the latest register.
