As part of a new affiliation with Pacifica news network, WXGR-101.5 FM, an 85-watt low-power FM radio station reaching Portsmouth and Dover, will carry Democracy Now mornings from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and the Free Speech Radio News from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays. WXGR is licensed to Gritty, a not-for profit educational organization. The group's primary activity is providing multimedia materials to NGO's and non-profits operating humanitarian missions in Africa and the Far East. Gritty is founded by Michael Wadleigh, academy-award winning director of the documentary film "Woodstock." WXGR plays a pre-programmed mix of international "groove" music. They're online at www.wxgr.org. |
