“System Breakdown,” our story on the conspiracy theories surrounding
the events of Sept. 11, 2001, generated a number of letters via e-mail,
from near and far.
Thank you for publishing your 9/11 Truth article. I have done my own
review of the issue and believe the government story is a lie. I would
welcome continued analysis in the future. This is a story that has been
blacked out by the mainstream media.

Really enjoyed Larry Clow’s piece about the 9/11 milieu.
Please pass this on to Larry, and give it a scan yourself if you have
time; some serious criticism of the 9/11 Commission: www.gnn.tv/B12001.
Thanks, from Texas.

Your words are sure to enlighten more lost sheep, and scare others
deeper into their walking comas... But thank you for giving our truth
movement some good ink.

Nice work on your 9/11 story, the biggest lie/hoax of our lifetimes.
It’s too bad it’s taken this long for the public to realize they cannot
take the word of the government and mass- media as facts but may be
complete falsehoods. The public for the most part doesn’t read, and
this is also a problem. I’ve read enough to know the
government/military will sacrifice/kill it’s own people and then blame
it on someone else. Stay with this story as most of the real truth
behind the story has yet to be told. Thanks again, let’s hear it for
the truth.

The real “outlandish theory” about the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11
is the official one—that a novice pilot could maneuver a large
commercial jet in an incredibly tight turn at high speed, evade the
Pentagon’s missile defense system, skim the ground (without leaving any
marks in the lawn), smash into the Pentagon wall (without collapsing
the roof) and then “vaporize,” leaving no identifiable parts, but
miraculously leaving the passengers’ DNA intact. Come off it!
If it really was Flight 77, all the Pentagon has to do is release the
CCTV footage from the gas station. That’s what The Wire and anyone who
contributes should be calling for—or launching a legal fight to have
the tape released.

I thought that Larry Clow’s article on the 9/11 truth movement is
excellent, but one point that he makes does stand out as being
unfair—or illogical. That is when he talks about the “Hunt the Boeing”
Web site, “which uses a series of photographs from the attack on the
Pentagon to show that Flight 77 could not have caused the damage at the
building. But the site fails to address what happened to the airplane
if it didn’t strike the building.” I’ve heard this argument before, but
it’s invalid. The site need not address the whereabouts of the plane in
order to make the case that it could not have been what hit the
Pentagon. The Web site shows clearly enough that a plane of that size
couldn’t have resulted in the kind or degree (relatively small) of
damage done to the building. The validity of that case does not depend
on proving, or even postulating, what really happened to the plane and
its passengers. That would be another, separate investigation, which
would make sense to conduct only after a convincing case was made that
it could not have been what hit the Pentagon. (Of course, we know that
any commercial airliner can be commandeered from the ground by remote
control and flown anywhere—into the Atlantic, for example. But, again,
that is completely irrelevant to the argument that the “Hunt the
Boeing” web site makes.)

Please enhance the truth content of your (good, but too
American-centric) story by refraining from referring to Andreas von
Bulow as a former defense minister. He was a high defense ministry
official, maybe without powers, just shoved there to avoid having to
put him into a big position. His title was State Secretary for the
Defense Ministry.
He also was a Minister for Research and Technology, and most pertinent
to you, member of the Parliamentary Commission for Oversight of
Germany’s Secret Services. His job was to bring light into spook-crimes
(http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parlamentarischer_Staatssekretär,
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andreas_von_Bülow).
Please write an article about PEOPLE’s oversight of spooks, where you can mention this newfound knowledge.
The bottom line of that article should be:
- there is currently no oversight, it is crazy.
- the world is in danger from it.
- it is astonishing how the world survived, in spite having spooks running wild.
