An Inauguration Day open house at the State House in Concord on Thursday, Jan. 4, is free and open to the public. It will feature food and entertainment, as well as Gov. Lynch and Dr. Susan Lynch greeting citizens.  

“The Inauguration is a celebration of New Hampshire and our people, and I want all New Hampshire citizens to have an opportunity to participate,” Gov. Lynch said in a press release. “I hope they will join me in marking the beginning of the nextchapter in New Hampshire’s great history.

”Other Inaugural celebrations include a breakfast with Gov. Lynch honoring state employees from 7  to 9 a.m. at the New Hampshire Historical Society and an inaugural ceremony at noon in Representatives Hall, with televised viewing available in the State House, followed by a receiving line in the Executive Chambers, with entertainment and refreshments.

Lynch will hold his first meeting with the Executive Council at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Open House from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.. 
The Governor’s Inaugural Ball will be held Jan. 6 at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester, with a reception at 5:30 and dinner at 7 p.m. For information on tickets, contact Sarah Nolan, 603-228-6000.
