Foster’s Daily Democrat reports that the Dover Middle School and Dover High School are readying to survey students in grades 7 through 12 on their behavior in areas ranging from violence and bullying to drug use and sex.
This will be the third such survey, which is designed by administrators and school board members. The survey results will be used to determine the health and wellness curriculum in the schools and to secure federal and state grant money for prevention programs, and they will be shared with police, according to the story in Foster’s.
Parents can pre-screen the survey and choose for their children not to participate, although more than 90 percent do participate, according to Dover High School principal Chris George.
