Cambridge-based singer-songwriter Sarah Blacker has toured nationally and purportedly written more than 400 songs. But “The Only Way Out Is Through” marks her first full-length studio album, and she’ll introduce it to Seacoast listeners at The Press Room on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Blacker is a classically trained vocalist who attended the Berklee College of Music and plays several stringed instruments, including guitar, mandolin and banjo. She has a jazzy folk sound that draws easy comparisons to Ani DiFranco or Joni Mitchell. She’s touring in support of her debut disc with a three-piece band.
The free show begins at 9 p.m. at The Press Room, 77 Daniel St., Portsmouth, 603-431-5186.
