Musician Dan Blakeslee will perform and local author Joe McCormack will read from his work for a unique experience at Dover Soul on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m.

McCormack is the author of “The Legacy,” an evocative post-World War II story set on the coast of Maine. The story features a briefcase of diamonds smuggled out of Germany and the ways in which they transform the lives of a local businessman, the beautiful young daughter of a U-Boat officer, and her disgruntled ex-lover.

McCormack will read from his novel in between musical performances by Blakeslee, who, as the creator of the cover art on the novel, will also have his artwork on display. The event is the first multi-media presentation in the N.H. Edge music series.

“The Legacy” can be purchased locally at RiverRun Bookstore in Portsmouth, Crackskulls Books in Newmarket, and Cafe on The Corner in Dover, or directly from the author at www.thelegacynovel.com.
