Colorful and inspiring New Hampshire women star in the latest reprint of “They Paved the Way: A History of New Hampshire Women,” by Olive Tardiff. With new cover design and interior images, this little book has been updated to appeal to a new generation of girls growing up in the Granite State, according to publisher Jeremy Townsend of PublishingWorks.
“Any study of New Hampshire would be incomplete without understanding the tremendous contributions of the women who’ve lived, loved and worked here,” Townsend says in a press release. “The old book had been a staple in New Hampshire school districts for years, but the tattered look and dull cover design were simply not helping this delightfully educational book reach the eyes and perk the interests of readers.”
The book features the stories of such prominent women as Goody Cole, Molly Stark, Jane Pierce and Martha Hilton Wentworth. The book retails for $9.95, and is available online www.jntownsendpublishing.com.
