Book publicist Bisson Barcelona is hosting a seminar series on creative and successful self-publishing. The seminars are 90 minutes long and take place on the third Wednesday of the month. Topics include strategies for everything from book signings, copyright and Web branding.
The next seminar is “So you have written a book—big deal,” presented by John and Nancy Grossman of Back Channel Press on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The presentation will address the definitions and differences between print-on-demand, self-publication, subsidized and traditional publishing, and participants will learn how to avoid pitfalls, including costly editing and author correction fees, how to asses the marketability of a project, how to define the target market of a book and how to maximize the profit potential, according to a press release from Bisson Barcelona.
The full series calendar is online at www.bissonbarcelona.com. Registration is $35; 6 or 12-month seminar packages are available at a discount. For more information, visit the Web site or call Traci Bisson at 603-664-5776.
