Dove Cookies: Mint Chocolate Serenade | Print |  E-mail

Dove’s new cookies tumble out of their layers of wasteful packaging like babushka dolls, the 15 tiny cookies sealed in 3 airy plastic tubs stacked inside an ample squarish box.

Is it worth the digging, peeling and tearing once you actually find a cookie? Only if you don’t know any Girl Scouts because, you guessed it, Dove has perfectly reinvented the Thin Mint. They’ve made them square and put little white stripes on them so that they’re quite pretty, really, and would look great on a tray you might bring out for your guests after dinner, but our bet is you’d only serve them once for fear having to live through the same, “Hey, these taste just like Thin Mints!” conversation over and over again.

Like their name, Dove’s Mint Chocolate Serenade cookies are mostly marketing wind, just another effort at brand extension.
