For 7-Eleven, the appeal of tube-shaped foods is clear—like hot dogs and sausages, tube-shaped foods can rotate endlessly on the rollers under the heat lamps, remaining ever-warm without actually cooking. The appeal to the consumer is less clear.
The 7-Eleven Buffalo Chicken Go-Go Taquito is a thin roll of “tortilla” filled with a cheesy orange spooge and coated with a flavor encrustation of some kind. The smooth meat cubes inside are neither white nor dark meat, but rather a gray-green, and one suspects that they may be a few generations removed from chicken in the traditional sense. The tortilla is rubbery and the spooge has a harsh chemical tang. The overall experience is that of chomping on some sort of fried pizzle.
Not recommended.
