"Can't wait for the next Thanksgiving?" the sign taunted me. A colorful, capititalization-challenged run-on description, impossible to refuse: "then Try tHe Thanxgiving sandwicH witH cRanbeRRy RelisH oven RoasTed tuRkey StuffinG $6.50!"

How to resist? Two hours from home, on the corner of Route 1 and Route 90, two miles south of Camden, Maine, in a small, unassuming roadside market not a bit like our Demoulas.

I made it my own with choice of lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and homemade molasses oat bread. Washed it down with a bottle of Belgian beer and added a heart-shaped doggie cookie for the pup straining at his leash beside the car in the parking lot while I made short work of a portable Thanxgiving feast.
