Maine-ly New Hampshire, a small retail store at 23 Deer St. in downtown Portsmouth specializing in New Hampshire and Maine made products, is the first store in the nation to sell Vin Fiz again.

The vintage grape soda was reintroduced by entrepreneur David Hallmark in early December. It’s bottled by Connor Bottling Co. in Newfields.
The grape blended soda, made with pure cane sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup, was originally made famous when its original manufacturers sponsored the successful coast-to-coast flight of Calbraith Perry Rodgers during the fall of 1911. Rodgers flew from New York to California in 49 days, setting a new record.

“It’s one of those moments you know is historic, but doesn’t feel like it yet,” remarked Hallmark in press release.
