Slow Food meetings open to all | Print |  E-mail

Early in the summer, there was some thought given to the idea that the new Slow Food Seacoast Convivium meetings might be open to members only. However, the fact that memberships are priced at $60 for individuals and $75 for couples raised a bit of a stir. Membership fees are set at the national level, and some in the Seacoast feared the fees would make it prohibitive for a wide range of people to participate and learn more about supporting growers and food producers. The group recently confirmed that the meetings are open to all, though membership is encouraged to support the efforts of the international movement.
