Four new fermentation tanks will roll into Portsmouth this week on special low-ride trailers. Redhook Brewery is expanding its production capacity, and the public is invited for a front-row seat.

“Construction of this magnitude is a rare sight, so Redhook Ale Brewery will have a viewing stand for both community and media use,” writes marketing manager Ron Freer in a press release. “All are invited to come witness the brewery raise the roof and install four behemoth fermentation tanks.”

The tanks will be lifted into place on Friday, June 16 at 10 a.m. at 35 Corporate Drive.

Each of the enormous tanks will weigh almost 120,000 pounds when full of Redhook ales, a sight the brewery hopes to see by mid-July.

This summer marks the company’s 10th anniversary in Portsmouth.
