Age: 50

Occupation: Deputy County Sheriff for the Rockingham County Sheriffs Department.

How many years have you lived in Dover? 50 years

Have you served on any boards, councils, or committees? The Planning Board, the Zoning Board of Adjustment and I was a short fill on the School Board.

As Dover becomes a more desirable place to live, how can the city keep it an affordable place for low-income residents?

What we have to look at is addressing the problems with the planning board and planning process. There are too many high-end projects and not enough projects for low-income and middle-income housing. We can solve that through the planning process.

What have you accomplished for Dover that you are most proud of and what would you like to accomplish if you are elected?

On my previous terms I was able to help rezone to attract clean industry like Liberty Mutual, which brought good jobs. I would like to concentrate bringing a waterfront to Dover that encourages all people to enjoy it and encourages all income levels to live there.

What is an important environmental issue facing Dover?

The most important continues to be the closure of the Tolend landfill

What is the most recent cultural or artistic event that you have attended in Dover?

Apple Harvest day.

What type of new businesses would you like to see come to Dover?

I’d like to continue to see businesses on the miracle mile to fill up the empty storefronts.

Do you support a tax cap for Dover?

Yes I do.

Dover has a growing art community. What can the city do to support arts and artists?

We’ve been very supportive, like with Apple Harvest Day and in bringing the Children’s Museum to Dover. The next avenue that we could capture is to make sure there is a venue with the waterfront. That will be a natural venue for the arts.
