Age: 50

Occupation: President of Defense Manufacturers Inc, and owner of Ciotti Racing Products, both Dover businesses.
How long have you lived in Dover? I’m a lifelong Dover resident

Have you served on any boards, councils or committees? Two years on the current City Council, chair of the Appointments Committee, 10 years on the Dover Planning Board, Dover Main Street representative, Future Needs Committee, three years on the Dover Zoning Board.

As Dover becomes a more desirable place to live, how can the city keep it an affordable place for low-income residents?

Keeping Dover affordable is not just a low-income need, it’s also a middle class need as
well.

What have you accomplished for Dover that you are most proud of and what would you like to accomplish if you are elected?

I was a proponent for the Children’s Museum, Dover's waterfront, and the McConnell
Center projects and proud of all of them. My goals for the next 2 years are to reduce
Dover’s long-term debt financing, and repair Dover’s streets. I am also working on the
water pressure issues in Dover’s north end and working on a solution for funding.

What is an important environmental issue facing Dover?

The environmental issues in Dover are the Willand Pond bacteria contamination, and the
continuing cleanup of the Tolend Landfill.

What is the most recent cultural or artistic event that you have attended in Dover?

I attended Apple Harvest Day with my children. I have also attended art showings at
local galleries.

What type of new businesses would you like to see come to Dover?

I would not specify any type of business, as most all businesses would be welcomed to
Dover. Dover is experiencing a growth spurt in the business sector in many different
areas, and all are creating jobs and making Dover a better place to live, shop, and
visit.

Do you support a tax cap for Dover?

I feel the tax cap will pass because people want to see their tax bills stabilize.
I do wish the tax cap proposal was initiated much sooner so that Dover residents (myself
included) could have had ample time to look at both sides of the issue and not have it
pass based on just a two hour, contentious meeting. Many people have told me they still
don’t have answers, nor do they completely understand it. It has been rushed through,
just at the last minute for the November election and has not been given the time and
scrutiny it deserves for all to make an informed decision.

Dover has a growing art community. What can the city do to support arts and artists?

Dover's Art scene is in the beginnings of a revival. The Arts commission was recently
re-opened with a group of area people who are working to get Dover up to par with
surrounding cities in the arts, music, etc. Look for great new things to come out of
this group.
