-If elected, what is the top goal you would like to see
accomplished?
Provide leadership to move Rochester in a positive direction
to do the people’s business and infrastructure improvements. Revise the Host
Community Agreement.
-What kinds of new businesses would you like to see in
Rochester?
Bio-tech, medical related and any niche type business that
will succeed in the downtown.
-How much do you think the city should invest in the
Riverwalk project, to connect the northern and southern sections of the city?
The Riverwalk Project will be funded with private grants and
donations so no additional city funding is needed.
-Would you support a request from the Police Department
to add more fulltime officers to its staff?
Yes, if the department can justify the increase. Staffing levels
need to be evaluated by the Police Commission first to see if they are
currently being allocated correctly.
-What would you do to promote the arts in Rochester and
support the city’s growing artistic community?
I fully support Artstream Rochester and the Opera House. I
also think workforce housing, including artist’s lofts, need to be created in
the city.
-What is your favorite event at the Rochester Fair?
The Giant Pumpkin Contest and the Exposition Building
displays.
