Arts Rochester is offering a two-week sampler of classes and workshops in art, dance, theater and music, Jan 2-13. Classes will be taught by Arts Rochester faculty and guest artists, and gift certificates are available.

Classes offered are: Stretch and Strengthen, high intensity stretching and strengthening exercises for the focused dancer (four levels); musical theater workshop, featuring dance and song to “Step in Time” from Mary Poppins (ages 8 and up); Cats workshop with Kimberly Lemieux, who just returned from the national touring company of Cats (two levels); Cinderella Variations, with dances from Act I of the classical ballet “Cinderella” (two levels); high energy hip-hop choreography (three levels); Audition Techniques and Preparation; music improvisation for all ages and instruments (two years experience); Songwriters Forum, to polish a song or create a new one (beginning/intermediate songwriters); Preschool Arts Sampler of music, dance and art (ages 3-5); Toddler Time music, movement and stories (ages 1-3 with parent or caregiver); and calligraphy.
